Position Description
Our website and web applications are the lifeblood of Registered Agents Inc. Our ideal web developer will have the skills, experience, and willingness to learn in order to meet our company’s high expectations. A successful candidate will have some experience with SEO, A/B testing, web development, and be capable of full-cycle project leadership including site layout/user interface, database design/programming, and development. Our new web developer’s responsibilities will include the integration of new content in a way that maximizes SEO, usability and branding. You will also be responsible for optimizing our existing pages. Candidate should also feel comfortable using tools to perform A/B and multivariate testing to optimize our eCommerce, SEO and user experiences.
Essential Duties
- Handle all Registered Agents Inc. day-to-day requests, including landing pages and fixing bugs
- Develop new microsites and update existing assets
- Work closely with management to understand their requests and collaborate with web team on existing projects
- Major website updates when required
- Manage new and existing technology integrations to support digital marketing goals and Registered Agents Inc. website
- Maintain and monitor WordPress via WPEngine
- Implementation and management of A/B testing and optimization
- Provide updates and reports on metrics and usage for
- Assist in long-term site planning and stack optimization
Supervision
Reports directly to Web Applications Manager
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience developing high-traffic, scalable web applications
- Demonstrable experience building consumer-facing web applications
- Proficiency in one or more high level programming languages (PHP/Python/Perl/Ruby/etc)
- Extensive knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, CSS and client-side frameworks (e.g. jQuery, Prototype, etc)
- Familiarity with relational databases and SQL/mySQL
- Thorough understanding of cross-browser compatibility
- Some experience with graphic design programs (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, etc)
